Society, Religion and Technology Project
|
Director : Dr Donald Bruce
The SRT Project, Society, Religion and Technology, was begun by the Church of Scotland in 1970, out of a concern that wider issues affecting Society and involving Religion and Technology were being neglected, not only in the church, but by the public at large and within technology itself. Its vision is to be a forum for examining issues within the sphere of science and technology itself, to raise awareness in the church to be a catalyst in society for encouraging informed, reliable and balanced debate. "SRT's web pages explore many current issues, including cloning, Genetic Engineering, the Environment, Energy, the Internet and the relationship of Science and Faith."
